Born in Zimbabwe and raised in Sweden, Ashley Mutimutema grew up between two worlds the grounded rhythm of African community and the silent pressure of Sweden. Discipline, performance, and resilience became his way to belong. He went on to build a successful career in wellness, working in spa management, leading over 12,500 personal training sessions and 7,000 massage treatments, helping others grow stronger while quietly carrying his own weight.

When the pandemic hit, Ashley lost his job, his financial stability, and the identity he had built
around being successful. On his 28th birthday, he found himself in a psychiatric ward
exhausted, emptied, and forced into stillness.
